Stadium Support Services (SSS), the nationwide facilities management and building services specialist, has partnered with asset-survey platform Verixo to tackle a longstanding challenge in the property industry: asset data that cannot be trusted.
The partnership combines SSS’s on-site expertise with Verixo’s AI-powered technology to give organisations an accurate, live view of the furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) across their estates, from initial purchase through to reuse or end of life.
It also connects clients with an exclusive circular route through award-winning reuse specialist Waste to Wonder, helping ensure assets that are no longer needed can be reused rather than sent to landfill.
The problem: data you can’t trust
Years of working with clients on FF&E management, clearances and relocations have given SSS Account Director James Sinclair first-hand experience of the problems caused by inaccurate asset information.
“The point of failure of any previous furniture management programme I’ve witnessed has ultimately been the data,” said Sinclair. “When a client can no longer trust what they’re seeing on a screen or spreadsheet, the whole system falls down.
“I’ve spent years hearing the same concern from clients when it comes to corporate FF&E management. They cannot trust the integrity or quality of the data enough to make smart, informed decisions. Verixo changes that by giving organisations the transparency and control they need.”
Outdated registers and inconsistent information can leave organisations making significant decisions about relocations, refurbishments, replacements and budgets without an accurate picture of the assets they already own.
Verixo is designed to change that by putting verified data first.
One survey. One verified register.
SSS teams survey a client’s estate, with every asset photographed, identified, barcoded, location-tagged and condition-graded from one to five. Replacement cost, age and remaining lifespan can also be recorded, while AI matches assets against a catalogue of more than 10,000 items in real time.
That information is delivered into a live, client-owned Verixo portal, creating one verified asset register across the estate.
VeriAI, the platform’s built-in AI assistant, allows users to ask plain-English questions about their data, helping them understand asset condition, identify replacement priorities, support CAPEX planning and make more informed decisions.
Verixo can also capture accurate asset information at the point of purchase, helping maintain trusted data throughout the asset lifecycle.
Why Stadium Support Services?
Unlike traditional models, where the company surveying an estate may also benefit from the subsequent clearance or relocation, SSS deliberately sits a step removed from decisions about an asset’s next move.
The focus is on providing accurate information that allows the client to decide what happens next.
Sinclair continued: “That’s why our partnership with Verixo felt like such a natural fit. We’re a step removed from the operational decisions around an asset’s movements, which lets us focus purely on the data and on supporting the client.
“Smarter asset management starts with better information. By giving clients data they can trust from the outset, we’re putting them in a much stronger position to make the right decisions throughout the life of their assets.”
From better data to better reuse
Trusted data also makes it easier to keep assets in use for longer.
UK offices discard an estimated 1.2 million desks and 1.8 million office chairs every year, despite significant volumes of furniture remaining reusable.
Through Verixo’s Revalu8 platform and an exclusive partnership with Waste to Wonder, clients can identify assets they no longer need and redirect suitable furniture to schools, charities and communities.
Waste to Wonder reuses an average of 97 per cent of everything it clears, with three per cent recycled and none sent to landfill. Since 2003, the social enterprise has redistributed more than £55 million of furniture across more than 50 countries.
The outcome of each asset is recorded back into the client’s register, providing measurable evidence of reuse, waste diversion and social value.
Michael Amos, Managing Director of Waste to Wonder, said: “We’re excited to be working in partnership with Stadium Support Services and Verixo as their exclusive ethical clearance and reuse partner.
“Together, we can help organisations make better-informed decisions about their assets while generating meaningful social impact for communities in the UK and around the world.”
