Veolia had announced the execution of a unilateral put agreement whereby Macquarie Asset Management irrevocably undertakes to acquire 100% of the share capital of Suez Recycling and Recovery UK Group, regrouping Suez waste activities in the UK.

Following completion of this antitrust remedy, Veolia will remain a major player in the UK
waste management market with revenues of approximately €2 billion.


In business, Ramboll and Wates Facilities Management (FM) have signed a new long-term contract for Total Facilities Management services in the UK.

The agreement, which begins on 1 September, will cover services such as security, cleaning, full hard service provision including asset maintenance and HVAC systems, building operations and maintenance of eight Ramboll offices.

As part of the contract, Wates will work alongside their supply chain partners to deliver innovations in cleaning, sustainability and maintenance through the implementation of Internet of Things technology.

Independents by Sodexo has successfully extended its partnership with the Leicester Grammar School Trust for a further ten years.

Commencing in September 2022, Sodexo will continue to deliver catering and hospitality to theLeicester Grammar School (LGS) Trust’s three independent co-educational day schools based in Great Glen, Leicestershire.


In appointments, Arcus FM has made two new appointments strengthening its Business Development team.

Robert Lynch has been appointed as Arcus’ Sales Director. Robert joined the company at the start of May and has brought with him over 20 years’ experience in FM, leading operational and sales teams in both hard services and total facilities management. 

Arcus also added Jillian Archibald as Business Development Director. Jillian comes from a strong background in facilities management having nearly 20 years of expertise within the soft services industry, focusing on cleaning, security and associated services, having built influential relationships securing businesses with large corporate clients and market leaders within the manufacturing, transport, public and education sectors.
