Façade Hoists installs photovoltaic panels at factory facility

Façade Hoists, a leading specialist in the design, manufacture and service of permanent suspended access equipment, has installed PV (photovoltaic) solar panels at its factory in Radstock, near Bath.

For over 30 years, Facade Hoists has delivered a full range of access equipment to provide a cost effective solution to the challenge of external and internal building maintenance.

With the deadline being 2050 for all UK businesses to become carbon-free, many are taking action long before that. Façade Hoists is proud to have transitioned to the use of photovoltaic panels, which provide valuable renewable energy for the business. This is far from the only environmental initiative taken recently:

  • Four years ago, all factory lights were changed to energy-saving LEDs
  • Since 2020, the company has used two hybrid company vehicles.
  • The company signed up to the EV (Electric Vehicle) Salary Sacrifice scheme this year. The aim is to get the first delivery of an all-electric vehicle in 2023, taking into account the long delay on deliveries.

Façade Hoists’ dedicated factory and design office in rural Radstock has delivered products for projects around the world including: Australia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Russia, the Middle East and all over Europe.
