Bidvest Noonan, a leading provider of security and facilities services in the UK and Ireland, has introduced AI-empowered screening at The Lookout, a public viewing gallery located within one of the UK’s most advanced buildings in the City of London.
The deployment, delivered in partnership with Xonar, features Xonar’s TruePort AI-powered walk-through weapons detection system, the first deployment of its kind in a publicly accessible space in the UK.
TruePort has been integrated into Bidvest Noonan’s security operation at the venue. It uses multi-sensor technology, machine learning and artificial intelligence to support officers in screening for potential threats while allowing most members of the public to move through the entrance without the queues or interventions associated with traditional screening.
The Lookout welcomes a high volume of visitors each day and sits within a building that achieved both a BREEAM Outstanding rating and an EPC A energy efficiency rating on completion in 2023.
