Amey secures one-year FM contract extension with National Highways

Amey has secured a one-year extension to its facilities management contract with National Highways, continuing a long-standing partnership that supports the safe and efficient operation of England’s strategic road network.

As a trusted partner, Amey provides hard and soft facilities management services across National Highways’ complex and geographically dispersed estate, helping to ensure essential facilities remain safe, compliant, resilient and fit for purpose. This work underpins the organisation’s ability to manage and operate one of the UK’s most important pieces of national infrastructure.

The continuation of the contract provides stability and continuity while both organisations work together towards shared ambitions, including improving operational performance, driving sustainability, enhancing asset resilience and delivering long-term value from the public estate.

Together, we are supporting the infrastructure that keeps the country moving, helping to ensure the people, places and assets behind the strategic road network can operate safely, efficiently and sustainably.

“This extension reflects the strong partnership we have built over many years and our shared commitment to achieving common goals. By combining our expertise with National Highways’ strategic vision, we will continue to deliver operational excellence, support sustainability ambitions and create lasting value for road users, communities and taxpayers.”

National Highways Director of Estates and Facilities, Steve Cooke said: “Our buildings and other infrastructure are vital to our role of keeping England’s motorways and major A roads running safely and efficiently.

“Amey’s expertise in facilities management will be key to continuing this work in the year ahead.”

Amey’s role within the transport sector draws on extensive experience delivering integrated infrastructure and facilities management services across complex, highly regulated environments. Through long-term partnerships, the company helps clients manage critical assets, improve performance and achieve strategic outcomes that support essential public services and national infrastructure.
