CIPD Trust Bursary Fund receives a donation to help people study and start their career in the people profession

In memory of their former Head of People, Kay Knights, a global creative studio has given a heartfelt donation to the CIPD Trust Bursary Fund from a Foundation Fund set up in her name.

Kay was known for her dedication to helping others and was an inspiration to her colleagues. Carrying on her legacy, forpeople created the fund to help charities like the CIPD Trust with their mission to help people who face barriers to employment to start a career in HR, by giving access to training and mentorship.

Rebecca, Masuma and Alina from the forpeople team, said: “In memory of our dearly missed Head of People, Kay Knights, we created the fund to honour her relentless ambition to help others. By supporting the CIPD Trust, we continue her generous spirit, giving much needed support to those who need it most”.

The donation will help the CIPD Trust support people studying entry-level qualifications in HR and learning and development. Alongside mentoring and coaching from the Trust, they will be well-prepared for employment.

The CIPD Trust Bursary Fund provides invaluable support to people facing barriers to start their career in the HR profession. Beneficiaries include refugees, those with criminal justice experience, returning parents, older adults re-entering the workforce and young job seekers.

Sally Eley, Head of the CIPD Trust, said: “We’re so grateful to receive a donation from the Kay Knights Careers Foundation Fund. Honouring Kay’s legacy, these funds will help someone start their career in the people profession, overcome barriers and achieve their potential, with our support every step of the way.”
