Published in February 2025, the new standard represents a significant shift in compliance requirements, mandating that buildings with internal gutters must now have both primary and secondary drainage systems – regardless of capacity. With rainfall volumes now 40-60% higher than historical averages, this legislative update renders many existing commercial properties non-compliant overnight.
