Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has been appointed to provide specialist fire solutions at St Mark’s Square, a new mixed-use Public Private Partnership (PPP) scheme set to transform the south end of Bromley town centre.
At the heart of the development will be a 53,000 sq ft landscaped public square, surrounded by a 29,000 sq ft multiplex cinema, 28,000 sq ft of cafés and restaurants, a business hotel, new apartments – both private and affordable – and an underground car park with secure spaces.
The scheme has been designed with sustainability in mind. The residential element is being built to Code for Sustainable Homes (CfSH) Level 4, reducing residents’ energy costs by around 30% through high levels of insulation, improved ventilation, and an onsite combined heat and power system. Other elements of the development have achieved an ‘Excellent’ BREEAM rating.
As part of the contract, engineers from PTSG Fire Solutions Ltd will carry out specialist works including cutting out and replacing pipework at five different points within each flat across the block.
