BaxterStorey Achieves Gold Standard Accreditation for Learning Excellence

Hospitality business BaxterStorey has achieved Gold Standard Accreditation from the Learning Performance Institute (LPI), recognising excellence in workplace learning strategy, delivery, and impact.

The accreditation follows a rigorous assessment across six modules, measuring areas such as strategic alignment, learner experience, and business impact. While Gold status is typically awarded in the second year, BaxterStorey met the benchmark in its first assessment cycle, positioning the company for formal Gold recognition in 2025.

The company’s Learning & Development team presented two client-endorsed case studies to the LPI, including the “Belonging at BaxterStorey” programme – an eLearning initiative embedding equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging (EDIB) into the employee experience from onboarding onwards.

This year, BaxterStorey reported strong people development metrics, with in-person workshops increasing by 110%, up from 56 in 2024 to 118 in 2025, giving them greater ability to meet diverse learner needs. These learning investments support the company’s continued growth, with 10,000 employees across 1,000 locations.

Hannah Carter, head of learning and development, BaxterStorey said: “This accreditation reflects our commitment to helping our people grow and thrive. We’re proud to take a progressive approach to learning -one that encourages getting curious, building new skills and growing confidence. I’m very proud of our Learning & Development team, who continue to shape impactful learning journeys that enable everyone to grow, develop, and achieve their potential.”

The LPI is the global body for workplace learning professionals. The Gold award is the highest accolade an organisation can receive.
