Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has completed electrical services works at Phase 3 of the iconic Battersea Power Station redevelopment, one of London’s largest and most high-profile regeneration projects.
Phase 3 forms a key part of the transformation of the 42-acre brownfield site surrounding the Grade II* listed power station. Central to the new development is Electric Boulevard, a vibrant thoroughfare of independent retail units with contemporary apartments above, designed to serve as the heart of the emerging community.
The wider £9 billion regeneration will create a mixed-use neighbourhood featuring apartments, offices, shops, bars, restaurants, cafés, and over 19 acres of public space, while preserving and enhancing the historic power station structure itself.
PTSG faced particular technical challenges during the project, including the absence of an operation and maintenance manual or “as fitted” drawings. The engineering team conducted a thorough site investigation to locate and test reference earths in line with regulatory standards. Comprehensive inspections were also carried out on surge protection devices and roof-mounted lightning protection systems to ensure ongoing integrity and compliance.
This latest project underscores PTSG’s expertise in delivering high-quality electrical and lightning protection services in complex environments, supporting the safety and operational reliability of some of the UK’s most significant landmark buildings.
