Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG), via constituent company Indepth Services (Indepth), has been contracted to deliver specialist fire solutions for Porthaven Care Homes.
Porthaven is a well-established and growing care provider with over 20 care homes located throughout England. In November 2022, the group won the award for ‘Care Home Group over 10 settings’ at the 24th National Care Awards. In March 2020, they were the proud winners at the Pinders Healthcare Design Awards for ‘Best Specialist Dementia Design’ at Falkland Grange Care Home in Newbury and in 2022 followed this award for ‘Best Interior Design’ at their newly opened care home Upton Mill in Tetbury.
Providing residential, nursing, respite and dementia care, Porthaven homes can provide support for wide-ranging needs. Food and activities are as important as the care at Porthaven and a varied schedule of activities can be found in each home.
In this contract, engineers from Indepth will carry out the testing of fire dampers for 20 sites in the Porthaven Care Homes portfolio. Regular fire damper testing from PTSG Fire Solutions Ltd gives peace of mind that if the worst were to happen and a fire were to break out, there is less chance of it spreading throughout the building.
Fire dampers should be tested upon installation and then once every year.
