Corps Security named Guarding Company of the Year at the Fire & Security Matters Awards

Corps Security won Guarding Company of the Year at the Fire & Security Matters Awards, held on 2 July 2026 at the Coventry Building Society Arena. Corps was also highly commended in the ESG category.

The award recognises a strong period of growth for the veteran-owned business, which remains the only major social enterprise in the UK guarding sector. Its success has been underpinned by sustained investment in colleagues, including a virtual reality training programme that uses real-world scenarios to build situational awareness and confidence across the workforce. In the 2025/26 financial year, the company achieved an 8.3 per cent year-on-year increase in revenue.

Over the past 12 months, Corps has welcomed 26 new clients across a diverse range of sectors, with growth underpinned by strong client retention and long-term partnerships. This has been supported by the relaunch of Corps Intel, the company’s intelligence offering, which enables intelligence-led decision-making across client organisations and helps shape wider security strategy through insight, analysis and proactive risk awareness.

Corps’ commitment to quality was also underlined by its most recent Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS) assessment, carried out by the National Security Inspectorate (NSI) in November 2025. The audit was Corps’ 20th successful assessment and resulted in a score of 128 out of 145, confirming the company’s status as an ACS Pacesetters Member, placing it in the top 15 per cent for service standards, as set by the Security Industry Authority.

One client, a global technology business, said: “What truly sets Corps apart is the way they look after their people while fully supporting our operational demands. From the outset, it was clear that staff welfare is a priority, and that shows in the service we experience every day. Frontline teams are motivated, professional, and genuinely committed to their roles.”

Paul Lotter, COO of Corps Security, said: “This award captures exactly what Corps stands for: doing good for people. Our People, Planet and Purpose values shape everything we do, starting with how we look after our colleagues. We’re built on a trust-based structure, with no shareholders and no dividends, so every penny of profit goes back into our people, our services and the communities we serve. That means investing in inclusive workplaces, sector-leading training and innovative technology, ensuring every interaction we deliver feels safe, reassuring and effective.

“By combining innovation with operational excellence, we’re continuously enhancing our integrated model—bringing together guarding, monitoring and intelligence to give our customers a complete security solution. It’s that commitment to our people and customers, supported by the right technology and forward-thinking services, that enables us to deliver exceptional outcomes day in, day out.”
