GRAHAM FM powers up Durham Constabulary

GRAHAM FM has completed an essential upgrade to the Uninterrupted Power Supply at Durham Constabulary’s headquarters in Aykley Heads.

The Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) System provides a reliable power supply that prevents power outages and disturbances, which could, potentially, result in the loss of important services across the Constabulary.

The £109k project, involving the replacement of primary UPS components, was completed over a six-day programme in partnership with local supply chain partners Kohler Power and Levant Power Protection Services.

Since 2018, GRAHAM has provided hard facilities management services to Durham Constabulary. It works in tandem with the police force’s estates team to guarantee building and asset availability 24/7/365 while planning diverse work requirements to minimise disruption to critical policing operations.

The Constabulary, which has 1,151 officers who are supported by more than 1,003 members of police staff, 70 special constables and 145 police community support officers, serves the people of County Durham and Darlington in the north east of England.

Commenting on the latest collaborative scheme, Anthony Connor, GRAHAM Facility Manager for Durham Constabulary, said:

“This is another important project that strengthens the long-term relationship that we have developed with Durham Constabulary – a relationship that continues to keep the Constabulary’s estate fully operational, well maintained and functioning effectively.”
