FM service provider 14forty, part of Compass Group UK & Ireland, has been Highly Commended at the Global FM (GFM) Awards of Excellence 2023 for its forward-thinking approach to workplace catering.
The awards enable GFM members, such as the UK’s Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM), to showcase the successes of members to an international audience.
IWFM nominated 14forty, winner of the Wellbeing category from its Impact Awards programme last year.
The company was presented with the award for transforming its food offer across its workplace restaurants, putting wellbeing at the heart of its menus and using plant-based recipes to help clients nudge employees into healthier food choices.
With sustainability high on its agenda, it also partnered with the University of Oxford to develop eco labelling, which rates dishes from A to E depending on how good they are for the environment.
It backed this project with a range of initiatives to support employee health and wellbeing. These included D&I initiatives, which allow people to bring ‘their whole selves’ to work, and changes to policies which help people at different stages of their life (menopause, maternity. paternity and adoption policies, for instance).
The company’s ‘Putting wellbeing at its heart’ project was a hit with GFM judges, who Highly Commended the company at the Global FM Awards of Excellence 2023.
