Following successful collaboration with VINCI Construction and Prime, we are pleased to announce that the NG Bailey Reading Engineering team handed over the £3.7m Genesis Cancer Care Centre project.
Located within the campus of the Royal Surrey Hospital, the new two-storey radiotherapy cancer care centre has two linear accelerators (LINAC) bunkers and state-of-the-art equipment for innovative treatments.
Our scope of work included the full mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) design, installation and commissioning, and specialist services such as oxygen monitoring and quench systems connecting to the manufacturing readiness level (MRL) equipment. Our Offsite Manufacture team also played a pivotal role in the project, with brackets manufactured at our Bradford facility used across the build.
Commenting on the project, Robert Steed, Senior Project Engineer, said, “This was a challenging yet rewarding site, and we have now successfully handed over another project. It was a pleasure working alongside VINCI Construction and Prime to develop the Genesis Cancer Care Centre. Thank you to all our supply chain and subcontractors who made this project a success.”
