Equans has been recertified Platinum status for 2024 in the Sustainable FM Index (SFMI), the UK’s only ESG benchmark for the FM sector. It is the fifth year that Equans’ UK business has been recognised with a Platinum award by the sustainability benchmark.
Run by Acclaro Advisory, the SFMI considers a wide range of criteria, across environmental, social and governance areas, in assessing the overall sustainability performance of FM service providers. Crucially, it also enables FM providers to embed sustainability in the management and operation of their contracts, thereby meeting the growing demand from FM clients to see sustainability integrated into the service delivery.
Commenting on the status, SFMI Programme Director Sunil Shah said: “Equans has demonstrated resilience and leadership during another transformative year, continuing to integrate ESG principles deeply across its operations. This commitment to sustainability and innovation has once again earned them the prestigious Platinum rating for 2024, setting a benchmark for excellence in the industry”
Lewis Chenery, Head of Environment & Sustainability at Equans UK & Ireland, said: “We are immensely proud to have once again achieved Platinum status in the Sustainable FM Index. Being one of just five companies in the sector to receive this prestigious Platinum recognition after a rigorous assessment underscores our dedication to deliver on our responsible business commitments, outlined in our IMPACT Manifesto.”
