Fire and safety solution provider Chubb together with CriticalArc were announced winners of the Security Project of the Year award at the Fire & Security Matters Awards ceremony at CBS Arena, Coventry on 15 June.
CriticalArc is a technology innovator, designing and developing the distributed command and control solution SafeZone, designed to change the way organisations manage safety and security operations.
The award recognises the innovation and improved staff safety outcomes delivered to Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust through the implementation of solution, supported by the Chubb 24/7/365 remote monitoring Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC).
Developed with personal safety at its core, the app was designed to provide better security and protection for lone and high-risk workers. At the tap of a button, users can request ‘first aid’ if in need of medical assistance, ‘emergency’ if they feel threatened or in need of urgent assistance, and ‘help’ for general safety advice.
When an alert is raised, the user’s location is shared with the operators at the ARC, who can connect directly to emergency services to provide the most appropriate assistance – allowing for a faster response time and potentially saving lives.
