OCS has completed the acquisition of City Group Security, an established nationwide security company founded in 1993 and ranked among the top 30 security businesses in the UK. The acquisition strengthens OCS’s UK security capability.
City Group Security brings 600 new colleagues into OCS and increases operational density across London and the South East, complementing OCS’s existing nationwide security footprint. The business delivers static guarding, canine security, mobile patrols, keyholding and alarm response. Its self-delivered canine security operation is a particular addition for OCS, bringing specialist expertise in-house and supporting future growth of the service for customers.
City Group Security’s experience extends across logistics, local government, education and utilities. The utilities footprint increases OCS’s strength in the sector, supporting customers in critical environments where site protection, resilience and operational reliability matter.

Daniel Dickson, Chief Executive Officer, UK & Ireland, OCS, said: “City Group Security has built a strong reputation in the security market over more than three decades, supported by experienced colleagues and long-standing customer relationships. Bringing the business into OCS strengthens our security capability and complements the wider integrated facilities management offer we deliver to customers nationwide.”
Steven Moore, Managing Director, Security UK, OCS, said: “City Group Security adds scale and density to our security business, particularly across London and the Southeast, and brings specialist capability we know customers value. The self-delivered canine security operation is a meaningful addition, allowing us to grow that service under one team. Greater experience across logistics, local government, education and utilities also strengthens our ability to support customers operating in those sectors.”
Simon Giles, Chief Executive Officer, City Group Security, said: “City Group Security has built its reputation over more than three decades on dependable security services and long-standing customer relationships. Joining OCS marks the next chapter for the business.
“Our two organisations share a commitment to service quality and to the colleagues who deliver it. Becoming part of OCS gives City Group Security a stronger platform to grow specialist services for customers and to create new opportunities for our team.”
Security services will continue without interruption. Existing customer contacts, escalation procedures and operational teams remain unchanged, ensuring continuity of service. The acquisition reflects OCS’s continued investment in its UK security business and supports the wider strategy of building specialist capability that strengthens its integrated facilities management solution for customers.
