EMCOR UK has secured a five-year total facilities management contract with Cadent that covers 67 of its sites; including 50 staffed locations across the UK. 190 EMCOR UK employees will deliver a range of services including catering, security, and asset management and maintenance services.
Cadent is the UK’s largest gas distribution network and manages over 131,000km of pipeline, servicing 50 per cent of Great Britain’s gas customers. Its infrastructure brings gas to 11 million homes and businesses operating in the North West, West Midlands, East Midlands, East of England and North London.
EMCOR UK won after a competitive tender process due to its innovative data and technology-led solutions, forward-thinking approach, and long track record of maintaining energy assets. Its engineering expertise and ability to create a bespoke strategy for Cadent’s specific needs were also key factors for the contract award.
Troy Hurrell, Operations Director at EMCOR UK, said: “The energy sector is a complex industry that requires deep expertise from supporting partners. This win is testament to our engineering excellence, innovative nature and outstanding health, safety and risk management record. We’re excited to start what we hope will be a long and successful partnership.”
Sheryl Inman, Head of Property at Cadent, said: “EMCOR UK’s expertise is evident not only in engineering and energy infrastructure support but across all areas of estate management. The comprehensive nature of its service offering, evidenced during the tender process, demonstrated clear capability to handle our complex requirements.”
