Novus’ Sustain service awarded significant Bradford contract

Novus is delighted to have successfully supported Manningham Housing Association in its Wave 2.1 Social Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) bid, whereby the residents of Bradford will benefit from over £2 million of investment into retrofit installations to bring homes up to at least an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) C rating.

Through its dedicated Sustain service, Novus will work closely with the housing association to create healthier homes with reduced energy usage in the Manningham area of Bradford. Launched in 2021, Sustain offers a dedicated one-stop-shop service to assist the housing sector in achieving zero carbon targets across property portfolios. As part of the service, its expert team is able to complete the identification, application and execution of funding agreements such as SHDF, as well as deliver the works.

The SHDF funding will cover a series of energy efficiency upgrades to 111 properties, including loft top ups, cavity wall insulation and solar PV panels in order to upgrade the properties to an EPC Band C rating.
