Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has announced the winner of a £750 prize as part of a Group-wide safe driving initiative delivered in partnership with Lightfoot, the driver behaviour and fleet efficiency platform.
The initiative ran from October to December and was designed to recognise colleagues who consistently demonstrate safe, responsible and compliant driving across PTSG’s national fleet. To be entered into the prize draw, drivers were required to achieve Elite Driver status within the Lightfoot app and complete daily vehicle checks in line with Wessex Vehicle Management Company (VMC) standards.
Following a random draw conducted by Lightfoot, PTSG confirmed that the £750 Love2Shop voucher prize has been awarded to Clifford Wands, from the Group’s Testing & Inspection team.
The programme forms part of PTSG’s wider focus on safety and operational excellence, recognising that driving standards play a critical role in protecting colleagues, customers and members of the public, while also supporting efficiency and sustainability across fleet operations.
Technology-led behaviour change
Lightfoot is widely used across the UK to support safer driving through real-time in-cab feedback, driver coaching and performance scoring. The platform encourages smoother acceleration, better anticipation and reduced speeding, helping organisations lower fuel consumption, reduce emissions and minimise accident risk.
By deploying Lightfoot across its fleet, PTSG has combined technology with positive reinforcement, using incentives and recognition to embed safer driving behaviours at scale.
Ongoing incentives planned
PTSG has confirmed that the next Lightfoot competition will run from January to March 2026, offering another £750 prize. Drivers will need to maintain Elite Driver status and rank within the top 15% for lowest speeding events to qualify.
In addition, since September, the Group has been awarding five £50 prizes each month to randomly selected Elite Drivers, alongside Lightfoot’s own rewards programme.
PTSG congratulated Clifford on his achievement and thanked colleagues across the business who continue to engage with the Lightfoot platform. The initiative reflects the Group’s ongoing investment in safety, compliance and continuous improvement across its operations.
