Commercial cleaning specialist MagicCote has enjoyed a successful start to the new year, beginning work on a range of high-profile contracts and awarding staff a 10 per cent pay rise.
The Hull-based company delivered high-level cleaning for Howdens Joinery over the festive period, ensuring that its sites met insurance standards and were clear of potentially hazardous dust.
Its operatives are now carrying out high-level cleaning at the University of Greenwich, on all three campuses, as part of a new contract with Sodexo. From February, this will include window cleaning.
The main campus comprises two sites: the Old Royal Naval College and the Avery Hill campus, both located in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, south-east London. There is a third satellite campus in Medway, Kent.
MagicCote’s technicians are also set to carry out five kitchen cleans for Sodexo, a leading name in facilities management, catering, and food and property management services.
In February, MagicCote will undertake window cleaning for Chivas Brothers, the blended Scotch whiskey producer. The commercial cleaning specialist will work at sites throughout Scotland, again working on behalf of Sodexo.
Further window cleaning will be undertaken at Horiba Mira, a global specialist in automotive engineering, research and test services, as well as facilities services provider Pareto FM.
MagicCote’s managing director, Adam Carrison, commented: “After a busy festive period – during which our team worked tirelessly to complete deep cleans, kitchen cleans and factory cleans – 2023 has got off to a great start for MagicCote.
“We’re thrilled to have been selected as a commercial cleaning partner by Sodexo and a range of other clients, and look forward to supporting them over the coming year.”
