Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has been contracted to deliver specialist electrical services at an up-and-coming part of north London.
Downham wharf is situated is situated next to Kingsland Road, in the Dalston area of the Borough of Hackney, with its ever changing and eclectic choice of shops, cafés, bars and restaurants.
The name Dalston is thought to have derived from Deorlaf’s tun (farm), in much the same way as nearby Hoxton was named after the farm of ‘Hoch’. The gentrification of the area has led to a rapid increase in the price of property. The process of change has been accelerated since the East London line extension (to be renamed the East London Railway on completion) and since the reopening of Dalston Junction Station was confirmed in the run-up to London’s successful bid to hold the 2012 Olympics.
In this contract, engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd will install a new lightning protection system at one of the many residential developments. This will provide protection for the structure and all users in the event of an electrical storm.
PTSG is the UK’s leading provider of lightning protection services. It is also thought to be one of the oldest. JW Gray, which became part of PTSG in 2015, began trading in 1835, making it one of the oldest – if not the oldest – trading provider of lightning protection services in the UK and possible even Europe.
