PTSG has appointed Colin Harwood as Director of Specialist Fire Services within its Fire Solutions Division, a move that consolidates three specialist capabilities into a single, national platform serving higher-risk and more technically demanding fire safety environments.
Colin will lead the Group’s Specialist Fire business, bringing together System Hygienics, Indepth Services, and the specialist fire elements of Trinity. The combined team will focus on consistent delivery standards, technical compliance assurance and scalable growth across complex fire compliance programmes for FM providers, construction partners and asset owners.
A Chartered Engineer with Lean Sigma and continuous-improvement credentials, Colin joins PTSG with more than 30 years of senior operational leadership in safety-critical and regulated sectors. He has held Managing Director and board-level roles across multi-site manufacturing and service organisations, with full P&L accountability and a track record in disciplined execution, quality management and risk control. His background includes senior leadership positions at Stelling Modular, Princess Yachts and Chemring Countermeasures, as well as other precision manufacturing and off-site construction businesses.
Michael Anderton, Divisional Managing Director for Fire Solutions at PTSG, said: “Colin is an exceptional addition to our Fire Solutions leadership team. He brings the rare combination of deep operational experience and an engineering mindset shaped in industries where safety, quality and delivery cannot be compromised. By uniting System Hygienics, Indepth Services and Trinity’s specialist fire capability under one director, we are creating a business with the scale, consistency and technical edge to lead the market. I am delighted to welcome Colin to PTSG Fire Solutions and excited about the impact he will make.”
Colin Harwood added: “Specialist fire services demand absolute consistency, strong engineering discipline and a relentless focus on compliance. Bringing these businesses together creates a platform with real depth and a clear opportunity to raise standards further for customers operating in the most complex environments. I’m looking forward to working with the teams to align delivery, strengthen capability and grow a truly national specialist offer.”
Colin will report to Michael Anderton and will begin working across the three businesses immediately to align operational standards, confirm near-term priorities and support the next stage of growth for Specialist Fire within PTSG Fire Solutions.
